« Vintage & Mechanical Clocks are Delicate Instruments! They are subject to age, wear and tear. To provide accurate Complete Estimates, it is first necessary to perform a complete Teardown Inspection, which requires complete movement disassembly. This provides the required diagnoses to properly perform Overhauls. Overhauls include Disassembly, Cleaning, Repairs, Replacement Parts, Maintenance, Oiling & Rate Testing. Because older timepieces may be out of manufacture, they may take longer to repair and parts are either scarce or must be fabricated. It is best not to disturb delicate, larger and floor model clocks. Please call us to determine if we should schedule a Service Call to avoid damaging it unnecessarily. We also prepare Mechanical Clocks for transport in the best way possible to avoid unnecessary damage to either bring it in to us or ship to another destination. « Electric and Plug-in Clocks are made in a wide variety. Parts are sometimes difficult to locate. Electrics are often a combination of Mechanical Clock design powered by an electric motor instead of winding a mainspring. Specialized repairs, parts replacement and maintainence may be required. Some motors & gears are an integral unit. An Inspection Estimate should be performed in order to properly diagnose repairs. »
